Walking around Coleraine
Football

Coleraine Football Club was founded in 1882. In 1964, Western District Football League in Victoria, and the South Coast and Border Football League in South Australia, merged to form the Western Border Football League. Coleraine was one of the founding 12 clubs. Coleraine left and joined the South West District Football League in 1995.
As twins, we were both lucky to play in the finals in 2010. Lachie rucked in the seniors and Ben rucked in the reserves. The reserves had not won a premiership for decades and were the underdog. They stunned their opponents to win by less than a goal. The seniors also had a win, by about three goals. Wild celebrations followed, finally ceasing on the Monday.
Coleraine Football Club’s nickname is The Maroons.
